{trend} Sunny Day / Cold Shoulder

black jeggings / DKNY Lane Bryant

Cold-shoulder tops are fun, flirty, and a perfect alternative if you do not like to show your arms...
Just the right amount of coverage, just the right amount of sass.

why this works...
An empire waist top is always a "yes" for me, as long as the band does not sit too high on my waist.
The ideal spot for an empire top is right at the natural waist.
This top has a cowl neck and slight a-line cut, which is also ideal for "more in the middle" body types.
Emerald green is just an amazing color and it literally looks great on everyone.
I wish the cowl neck draped a little nicer on me.  It definitely does not look the same on me as it does on Melissa, but I think the next size up would have been too large.

gold link necklace / Robert Lee Morris
"dream" cuff bracelet / Lucky Brand
armor statement ring (gift from the bf- not sure where it's from), but this one is on my wish list
sunnies / Spy Optic

leopard handbag / Olivia + Joy

What do you think of the cold-shoulder trend?
Is this something you love, hate, want to try???
