Chatting Swimwear 2010 with Marie Denee- The Curvy Fashionista

I recently had the pleasure to sit down for coffee with my friend and fellow fashionista, Marie Denee, creator of the popular plus fashion blog, The Curvy Fashionista.  Marie was in SoCal for a few days on business and pleasure, and she squeezed me in for a bit, so we headed over to the local Starbucks for a refreshment and a little chat.
Marie and I first met back in 2008, when she asked me to be her first feature on her blog!! I was so flattered and excited to be featured, and it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.  So, when I finally had a free second to start getting my vlogs going, I naturally reached out to Marie to be featured in my first video.  The timing could not have been better, as Marie had just featured The Top 5 Plus Size Swimwear Trends for Summer 2010 on her blog, and since the since summer is only 21 days away and everyone is gearing up for the warm weather, we thought it would be great to get together and rap a little.

As Marie mentions in her blog, and we talk about in the vlog, the top 5 Swimwear Trends for 2010 are:
1. Polka Dots
2. Ruffles
3. Mix and Match
4. Rouching
5. One Shoulder

Be sure to check out the June 2010 issue of PLUS Model Magazine, and look for my article titled "Swimwear- Choosing The Perfect Suit to Flatter Your Shape". I break it all down for you according to body type, and I even feature my stylist picks for each body type.

The main thing to focus on when choosing swimwear is what styles are flattering to YOUR body type. I am sure you all are exhausted with hearing me talk about it by now, but I will say it again- not all styles are right for all plus size women, so when choosing swimwear, keep in mind that even though it comes in your size, the style, cut, fit, color, or print may not be the most flattering choice for you. Honestly, knowing your body and what silhouettes are flattering for you is a foolproof way to have a stellar wardrobe.
