{style} the fall transition

Last week was the first official day of fall, but it still feels like summer in LA, with little glimpses of a weather change just around the corner.  The nights are cooler, but the days are still warm.  September is always a tricky fashion month.  My brain is completely wrapped around fall fashion, but it's still too warm to wear it.  I am completely sick of my summer wardrobe, and I have started accumulating some fabulous new pieces for the cooler months, so now it's time to get creative for the fall transition to keep my looks fresh & new until the official cool down!

The key to making a successful summer to fall/winter wardrobe transition is utilizing your versatile prints and neutral color palate pieces in lightweight fabrications, and mixing them in with your established summer items.
Cool & lightweight for the warm days...
Animal print top {I consider traditional animal print a neutral} by Karen Kane via Gwynnie Bee
and still rocking a bright pop of color in this skirt by Vince Camuto
{check out the Vince Camuto plus size collection available at Nordstrom}...

Selma Studded Saffiano Tote by Michael Kors
All accessories by Michael Kors
... a lightweight neutral layer added for nighttime or just more wardrobe dimension!
{This is actually a dress that I am wearing as a jacket}!
cargo shirtdress by Alfani for Macy's
Voila! An easy, breezy solution to the fall transition!
