{style} Pops of Pink

As you have probably gathered by now from reading my past posts, I am a sucker for an "a-line" dress.  It is the perfect silhouette for my "more in the middle" body type, drawing me in at the waist, and balancing my curves.  

This polka dot dress from Gwynnie Bee was an automatic yes when I saw it on their site.  

Day, night, layered, office meeting, date night, shopping, lunch with the girls... this dress is one of those versatile, go-to pieces that stands the test of time {even in a polka dot print} which, let's face it, might as well just be called a basic.  

Layer it with a belted colorful cardigan and flats for daytime, or spice it up with a sexy, super high heel and red lips for date night. 

I recently found myself with a fresh pink manicure, and a few fabulous pink accessories that I had not yet had a chance to incorporate into an OOTD, so I decided to go for it with "pops of pink" against a polka dot canvas for a chic, retro vibe with a modern twist. 

Fashion should be fun, and I definitely had a blast with this outfit {and a few "Marilyn" moments too}!

I normally don't "go there" with the knock offs, but the Valentino Rockstud Slingback is crazy amazing, but WAY out of my comfort zone, and budget {I cannot wear a heel that high.  Literally.  I would break my neck and be SUPER uncomfortable, which is never worth it to me}... 

Sooooooooo, this Torrid Pink & Nude Studded Heel is the perfect alternative with a much lower, more wearable heel, and the perfect little price point. SOLD!
